Groundfall — Privacy Policy

Groundfall ("the app") is made by Ryan Renteria (Wolf Out West). This policy explains what data the app uses and why.

What the app reads

• Apple Health (HealthKit): your running workouts — distance, duration, pace, calories, heart rate, and route location — so the app can build your Rituals history, Journal entries, and Seals achievements.
• Location: used only to display your run routes on a map. The app does not track your location outside of viewing your own recorded routes.
• Weather: the date, time, and location of each run are used to look up historical weather for that run via Apple WeatherKit, purely to generate the journal entry text and weather-based Seals.
• Strava (optional): if you choose to connect your Strava account in Settings, the app reads your activity data (kudos, achievements, effort/suffer score) to power additional Seals. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without it, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings.

Where your data lives

Groundfall has no backend server and does not operate a user account system. Your health and run data stays on your device, inside Apple's HealthKit store, and in the app's local storage. The only network calls the app makes are: reading weather from Apple WeatherKit, reading activity data from Strava's API (only if you connect it), and processing purchases through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Nothing is sold, shared, or used for advertising.

In-app purchase

Groundfall offers a one-time purchase to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store; Groundfall never sees or stores your payment information.

Your choices

• You can revoke HealthKit or Location permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
• You can disconnect Strava at any time in the app's Settings.
• Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data from your device.

Children

Groundfall is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
